Strengthening Conservation Leadership in Southern Africa

A milestone in 2019 was the launch of a new African Conservation Leadership Network cohort, bringing together a group of conservation organizations from Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique and Kenya. This is the third cohort of the African Conservation Leadership Network, which Maliasili and The Nature Conservancy first launched together in 2016. The new cohort had an emphasis on southern African organizations, as we prepare to work with more organizations in that region in 2020 and beyond.

I know myself better and have tools for making the right choices. Some of the things I did were done without knowledge. Now I know myself better and I have no excuses…This training is an asset for me, my country, my region, my continent.

The workshop gave me individual space to reflect about myself and the person that I am. Every night I asked myself, what next? I have come up with a plan for my personal life and professional life and how to go forward.
